This operation is performed in the hospital, under general anesthesia or in the surgery under local anesthesia and sedatives. Prothesis can be applied.

Operation lasts 2 to 2,5 hours.Patient doesn’t have to stay overnight in the hospital.

After the operation, tight elastic bandage is applied around the breast (for 3 to weeks).
- 30 to 60 days following the operation, the stitches dissolve (disapper themselves). A 4 to 5 cm, bow shaped stitch scar along the bottom border of the breast or arround the nipple may remain.
