- This operation is performed in the hospital, under general anesthesia or in the surgery under local anesthesia and sedatives. Generally, adults go under local and children under general anesthesia.
- Operation lasts 2 hours. Patient doesn’t have to stay overnight in the hospital.
- Closed bandage is applied for a week. Tight elastic bandage is used. Closed bandage is removed after a week, elastic bandage continues day and night. The following two weeks, elastic bandage is used only at nights. Normal life can be resumed at the end of the first week following the operation.
