- This operation is performed in the hospital under general anesthesia.
- Operation lasts 2 to 2,5 hours.
- Patient doesn’t have to stay overnight in the hospital.
- After the operation, tight elastic bandage is applied around the breast (for 3 to 4 weeks). 30 to 60 days following the operation, the stitches dissolve (disappear themselves). A bow shaped stitch scar which goes all around the nipple or along the curve on the lower border of the breast will remain.
